I prefer doing readings over the internet, purely because I can focus without interruption. I found that face-to-face and phone readings were too ‘chatty’. Customers have a tendency to tell me things that I’m supposed to be picking up! It’s well-meaning and innocent, but questions such as: ‘can you see my husband?’ or ‘how are my kids doing with their exams?’ are not only giving me information but also distracting me! 
Some readers prefer face-to-face for just this reason – they can easily get information from the customer. Not all of them, thankfully. There are many excellent readers out there who don’t require the information – we will give it to you.
Another reason I stopped face-to-face readings was the tendency of some people to handle my cards without permission. Many customers understand the cards and show their respect, but there are a few people who think it’s ok to just lean over and pick up a card. Or you’ll get someone coming for a reading with a child in tow, and said child understandably likes the images and artwork on the cards and can’t resist picking them up. While some readers don’t mind this, I’ve found that the cards pick up vibes from people who handle them. And this is from the many years experience I’ve had reading them. When I first started out I would hand the cards to the customers and ask them to shuffle and cut. Then after a while I would shuffle and get the customer to just cut the deck. Now I don’t allow anyone to handle my reading cards at all. I have a few decks that I don’t read with, so if anyone wants to take a look I hand them those.
